Some of my Recent Stuff

Bottom two were requests.

So? How am I progressing? I still need to work on depth and stuff, so I need to find some decent GIMP tuts on it. . .

The first one is nice, however there is no real flow. It's extremely cluttered. The colors are nice. I'd say it's your best piece out of these, though.

The 2nd one is rather plain to me. It's just a solid colored BG with a bunch of random brushes. They are rather dark, btw.. Also: Place your brushes behind your render so that your render isn't being covered up. I can hardly see your text in your 2nd tag, too.

I like your Midget Power stamp a lot, however. The colors are nice, and the text is amazing. I also love the postcard stamp border you have around it.

So far... make sure you place your render on top of your brushes/C4d's and try not to clutter the entire sig. If I were you, I'd start practicing with smudging. It's a really simple minded thing to try, but can be a pain at first. Look around for some smudging tutorials and I think once you master smudging, you're going to really go far.

The first one was supposed to show an explosion of power, so I guess I overdid the c4d in it how do you show power?

Second one, took about an hour and GIMP froze on me halfway through making it. I hadn't saved and just took a screen of it before GIMP closed...

Smudging, I've tried that before, but it's not my area. I'll find some good tuts on that, and then, I'll be back!

Well, it looks like the effects are overpowering the render haha. Usually a good light source can be enough to show power. It's hard to explain.

I like the lighting in the first one better, but the second one overall looks better. Nice job!
